You may have thought it, you may have said it, you have almost certainly heard it said - "mt_tomb2Nobody's, ever come back!"     These are the words of a person who cannot believe in life after we die because they have never seen anyone who has really come back. As far as they are concerned, death is the end.
We will all die sometime, but many of us will not talk or even think about death because we consi
der it to be a morbid subject.
How can we know that there is life after death if "nobody's ever come back"? Someone has come back!
Did you know that someone really did come back from the dead? Not only that! - he actually said that wicked men would have him execut
soldiersed and that the third day after his death, he would rise from his grave. The man who said that he would die and conquer death was the Lord Jesus Christ.
 Those who
hated him and plotted his death knew of this prophecy and they sealed and guarded the grave. They were determined that no one would snatch the body and claim that Jesus had risen.

Jesus is alive!

On the third day after his execution, Jesus rose bodily from the dead. The terrified guards fled as the ground was shaken beneath them. His disciples saw him, held him, talked with him and ate with him on many occasions over a forty day period.
One of the disciples, Thomas, could not at first, bring himself to believe that Jesus had really risen but was convinced when the risen Lord invited him to feel his wounds. Thomas worshipped him saying, "My Lord and my God!" On another occasion, Jesus appeared to more than five hundred people at once!

What is the message of Easter?

What was the point of Jesus giving his life to die on the cross and then to overcome death? Did you know that death came into the world because the first man Adam, rebelled against God? We have all sinned and our sin alienates us from God;- bringing God's anger upon us.
The Lord Jesus came into the world to save sinners from God's wrath by the sacrifice of his sinless life. He conquered death, returned to heaven and he lives today. He will come again as King when he will judge us all. Those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus as their Saviour and Lord enjoy his forgiveness and peace in their lives. Their guilt is removed and they will go to heaven to enjoy indescribable happiness for ever.
It is most important that you understand why Jesus came into the world and that you respond to his call to follow him.
